Skyler Colton Busbee

Skyler Colton Busbee, 26, of Haleyville, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023.  No services are planned at this time.  Wilson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Skyler was born July 15, 1996, to Mark and Brandi Busbee.  He graduated from Brilliant High School with the Class of 2014.  Skyler loved the outdoors, hunting arrowheads, playing guitar and his kids.  He was a loving father, son, brother and friend.
Skyler was a kind, chivalrous gentleman.  He had such a bright and positive presence that it was contagious to everyone around him.  His sweet smile made it impossible not to be happy.  He strived to make everyone smile like it was his only job. He would give anyone the shirt off his back and be there for them in a heartbeat.  The world has truly lost a beautiful soul.
Skyler was preceded in death by his grandma, Sheila Faye Howell; great-grandparents, Arlis Pinkard, Clayton and Ivie Howell, Grady and Gladys Smith and JC and Sue Busbee and his cousin, Tanner Hamilton.
He is survived by his mother, Brandi Busbee; father, Mark (Jolene) Busbee; children, Harmony and Luke; brothers, Dustin (Kelsey) Busbee and Austin (Briana) Ingle; nieces, Addison Busbee, Brinley Busbee and Chloe, Emma and Ella Bass; nephews, Case Busbee and Clay Bass; grandfather, Jimmy R. Howell; great-grandmother, Vertie Pinkard; aunt, Emily (Ron) Howell and a host of other family members and friends.
“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.”
