Shae Bailey Williams, 57, passed away at Brookwood Medical Center on April 24th, 2024.
Shae grew up in Bear Creek, AL where she excelled in several sports, including volleyball, basketball, softball and track and field, and was the head cheerleader. This led her to be inducted in the Marion County Sports Hall of Fame.
It was in high school when she began dating the love of her life, Senn Williams. She graduated from Phillips High School in 1984 when she began working full time at Security Mutual, working her way up to branch manager. From there she married her high school sweetheart in 1988 and accepted other opportunities and advancements throughout her career, always staying close to home. She found joy in her office management positions at her church and Encore because she loved to serve and help her community.
Shae’s biggest joy in life was her family. Trent, her oldest son, Trey, her youngest son, and their wives and children were her entire world. Senn and her babies gave her strength and purpose to keep fighting during rough times and brought laughter and joy all the time. Shae had a true servant’s heart and a competitiveness that shines through her children and grandchildren. She was so incredibly proud of her boys and the men/fathers they have become.
Shae loved her whole family including her church family as well and never missed an opportunity to let them know that. Her favorite way to express her love was through cooking family meals to gather around and giving gifts just because she was thinking about you.
Shae is survived by her husband, Senn Williams, who loved her with unconditional faith, love and support; her two sons, Trent (Laura) Williams and Trey (LaRae) Williams; her three grandchildren, Cameron, Callie and Beckett; her older brother, Dewayne (Tammy) Bailey; her niece, Brooke (Clay) Goar, and nephew, Bradley (Ashley) Bailey, and their children; along with many aunts, cousins, and close friends. She had a knack for making friends wherever she went and making it known she'd do anything to help them. . .and she meant it.
Shae was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Bailey.
Her visitation will be Sunday April 28, 2024, from 1-3 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. in the chapel, with Ryan Gallagher and Matthew Balentine officiating. Burial will follow in Thornhill Cemetery.
