Dent was happily retired from Reynolds Aluminum, where he worked for 34 years. He was an upstanding man in his community and attended Pleasent Hill Church, where he was a lifelong member.
He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. You could find him every morning on his way to the store in his new Ford Maverick. He rarely missed a cattle sale at the North Alabama Livestock Auction, where he was well-known and respected.
Dent loved nothing more than to watch someone work and to tell them how it was supposed to be done because he was Boss and we all knew it.
Dent was preceded in death by his parents, WR "Speedy" Morgan & Ellie Mae Trapp Morgan; brother, Norman Morgan; sister, Faye Swinney; daughter, Tamla Morgan Whitten; wife, Joyce Morgan and great-granddaughter, Molly Ann Whitten.
He is survived by his spouse, Fayrene Stehno Morgan; children, Tebra Morgan and son-in-law, Rickey Whitten; grandchildren, Brent Whitten (Ciara), Brady Whitten (Caroline), Blake Whitten, Haley Bass (Hunter Lewey) and Ryan Rackard; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Ross, Ila, Hendrix and Hadley; stepchildren, Tim Stehno and Teresa Claunch (Todd), as well as 7 step-grandchildren and 17 step-great-grandchildren.
