Jimmy Wayne Junior

Jimmy Wayne Junior, 69, of Haleyville, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at his residence. 

He was born March 23, 1955 in Wardell, Missouri to Tendle and Ellia Junior. Jimmy was known for his colorful banter and quick wit. His pride and joy was his family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids. Jimmy was a master mechanic and enjoyed his trade of driving a truck for over 50 years. He loved spending time with his family and watching his hummingbirds. 

Visitation will be Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 1-2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where his funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Ireland Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Haleyville. Brother Adam Hyde will officiate. 

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Brenda Junior; children, Jeremy Junior, Brandie (Brooks) Clark and Jessica (Tyler) Hyde; grandchildren, Zoey (Alex) and Zack; great-grandsons, Koltyn and Caysen Wayne; sisters, Linda Smith and Connie Dye; brother, Carl Dye; Jimmy was known as "Uncle Jim" to a host of nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tendle Lee and Ellia Junior; in-laws, Clyde and Katie Ward; sisters, Fayrene McBroom, Hazel Kelley, Bernice Rudd and Patricia Junior; brothers, Lester, Chester, Pete and Ronnie Gene; and his beloved dog, Sissy. 

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Jimmy's nurse, Jamie Hubbert, social worker, Keir Vickery of Gentiva Hospice and helpers, Candice and Jason Harrison.
