Billy John Goodwin, 94, of Double Springs, passed away September 30, 2025 at Hendrix Health and Rehabilitation Center in Double Springs.
He was born October 29, 1930 to GW and Minnie Goodwin.
Visitation will be Friday, October 3, 2025 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where his funeral will be held at 12 p.m. Burial will be at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville. Ed Townsend will officiate.
Billy is survived by his wife, Virginia Goodwin; daughters, Pam (Eric) Rogers and Terri Goodwin Self; grandchildren, Jason (Debbie) Dunaway, Kellie (Shane) Estill, Lindsey (Heath) Hood, Ericka Callahan, Whitney Hudson, Justin Haley, Dylan (Chelsea) Rogers and Levi Rogers; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ruth Riddle, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, GW Goodwin; mother, Minnie Head Goodwin; daughter, Debbie Goodwin Bell; granddaughter, Katie Bell and several brothers and sisters.
