Shelby Jean Daniel, 88, of Haleyville, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026 at her home.
Her visitation will be Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 12 - 1 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. in the chapel, with Jeff McHan officiating. Burial to follow in Thornhill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Daniel, Ben Hulsey, Robby Hamby, Kaleb McCreless, Shanon Sartin and Jimmy Dennis.
She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Hulsey (Gene) and Lisa Triplett (Robbie); son, Ricky Hamby (Rene); stepdaughter, Sue Vaugh Hicks (Joel); daughter-in-law, Susan Daniel; brother, Rex Hamby, sisters, Linda McHan, Margie Yates, Rosemary Ponder and Cherry Hamby;and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eli Daniel; parents, P.E. and Evelyn Hamby; brothers, Noyal D. Hamby, Willie T. Hamby, Jack Hamby and Sherman Hamby; son, Jimmy Wayne Goss and her beloved stepson, Winford Stanly "Butch" Daniel.
