Yvonne Hightower, 88, of Bear Creek, passed away Friday April 10, 2026, at her residence. Yvonne was born February 28, 1938 to Forney and Ann Bowen in Haleyville. She enjoyed spending her days with her grandbabies and traveling. She was a lifelong employee for the City of Bear Creek and volunteered for many city events and originations.
Visitation will be Friday April 17, 2026 from 12-2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville where a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Pastor Casey Harrison will officiate.
Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Pam (Art) Ricketts; grandchildren, Brandon (April) Ricketts, Colton Ricketts and Chris (Anna Kate) Ricketts and great-grandchildren, Kingston, Kenleigh, Bankston, Emmy, Koston, Dean, Jackson and Macy Kate.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cuethal Hightower and son, Steve Hightower.
