The homecoming for Double Springs Middle School was held Monday, Sept. 16, during the junior high football game against Addison. “Each year, the students in grades five through eight select a girl to represent their class for homecoming princess,” teacher Beth Gilbreath said. “After the representatives are chosen, the student body votes by secret ballot to choose the homecoming princess and her court.” Alexa Stice-Edgil (eighth grade), left, was chosen as homecoming princess and was escorted by Mark Edgil. Next, Jesalyn Dotson (sixth grade) was chosen first alternate and was escorted by Jhone Tyler. Second alternate is Kaylie Gardner (seventh grade) and was escorted by Gabe Hood. On the right, Bayleigh Hampton (fifth grade) was chosen as third alternate and escorted by Wesley Hampton. The 2018 homecoming princess, Madison Comeens, crowned this year’s princess.
