Betty Faye Blackwood Kennedy Hamrick, 74, of Arley, entered into rest on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence.
Betty was born on December 6, 1945 in Cullman. She had an Associate's Degree in Nursing and spent 33 years taking care of her patients. She was a member of Meek Baptist Church. Her hobbies included gardening, growing flowers and cooking. Betty loved her family and was an excellent mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
As per state and federal guidelines, a private graveside service will be held. A public memorial service will be announced at a later date. Nichols Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Betty is survived by her son, Greg Kennedy; daughter, Barbara Templeton and her husband Gary; grandchildren, Gary Templeton, Jr., Keely Templeton and Devin Duke; brother, Jerry Blackwood and his wife Debbie; sister, Mava Jean Cleghorn and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, O'Neal Hamrick; parents, Roscoe and Bervie Blackwood and brothers, O'Neal and Carlton Blackwood.
