Cullman Regional seeking donations of medical and cleaning supplies from the community

CULLMAN - As cases of COVID-19 increase in Alabama, local hospitals are bracing for shortages of medical supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE) and cleaning supplies.

Cullman Regional is seeking donations from the community of unopened packages of supplies including:

    •    Clorox with bleach (concentrate and wipes)
    •    Hand sanitizers
    •    Surgical masks (no handmade masks at this time)
    •    Safety goggles or eye shields

Hospital officials want to make it clear they haven’t run out of supplies, but that donations would serve as backups.  The hospital is actively monitoring supply levels every day.

“We have already had several donations from local schools and businesses, which is greatly appreciated,” said Lindsey Dossey, vice president of marketing. “We are grateful for the support from our community.”

Those wishing to donate can contact the Cullman Regional COVID-19 Information Line at 256-735-5530 or drop off items at the main entrance of the hospital.
