Cross country teams compete in Brooks Invitational
FLORENCE - Cross country season kicked off for local teams Saturday, Aug. 27, as they traveled to McFarland Park in Florence for the Brooks High School Tennessee River Classic.
Kelley and Till crowned Queen and Princess of Hearts
Bailey Kelley was crowned Queen of Hearts, and Macy Till was crowned Princess of Hearts at Winston County High School on Saturday, March 5.
The top five in Queen of Hearts included Arleigh Breedwell, first alternate, Lexie Flake, second alternate, Jaelyn Dotson, third alternate, and Kaylie Gardner, fourth alternate.
The top five in Princess of Hearts included Maggie Courington, first alternate, Gabrielle Hobbs, second alternate, Kaitlyn Thorn, third alternate, and Nevaeh Taylor, fourth alternate.
Cole achieves milestone at WCHS

Over $1 million in ATRIP-II funding awarded for Highway 33 project

DOUBLE SPRINGS - A dangerous traffic issue, where individual, industrial and school bus traffic all converge in the same location certain times of the day, will now be alleviated, thanks to a $1,009,904.50 grant.

WINSTON COUNTY - The Alabama High School Athletic Association's Central Board has approved class realignments for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school years.
