Double Springs residents missing

WINSTON COUNTY - The public’s assistance is being sought by the Winston County Sheriff’s Office to locate a man and a woman who had both been reported missing as of press time Monday, June 12.

Jaqleen Amber Grimes, 33, of Double Springs, was last seen on June 1, on Highway 195 in the Black Pond area, according to the sheriff’s office.

Joshua Chester Flanagin, 36, also of Double Springs was last seen around 3:30 p.m. on June 6, in the location of Highway 195 and County Road 6.  He is believed to have a condition that impairs his judgment, sheriff’s officials added.

“We have no reason at this time to believe that the disappearances are related to each other,” stressed Winston County Sheriff Caleb Snoddy.  “I don’t anticipate that any information given to us is going to put them anywhere within proximity to each other.

Grimes was last seen in the Black Pond area.

“She was noted to have possibly been leaving a residence and getting into a vehicle with an unknown male with an unknown vehicle description,” the sheriff said.

Their direction of travel is also unknown, according to Snoddy.

Grimes has been described as five feet, two inches in height, weighing 110 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.

Flanagin was last seen walking down the side of Highway 195 north of Double Springs in the area of County Road 6, wearing a teal colored T-shirt and blue jeans, Snoddy noted.

“He may have been seen entering a maroon car, but unknown make or model,” Snoddy said.
Flanagin has been described as five feet, seven inches in height, weighing 180 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

“Mr. Flanagin has been known to go missing for a few days at a time,” Snoddy added. “This is kind of a long stretch for him.”

Grimes has not been known to go missing in the past, according to Snoddy.
