Kayo Benford

Auburn Elisha Terrell "Kayo" Benford, 95, of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He was retired from Formed Tubes and Harden Mfg. and was the oldest living member of Sunny Home Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 10 a.m - noon at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. His funeral will be at noon in the chapel, with Bro. Jeremy Glenn, Bro. Kirk Cagle and Bro. Eddie Everett officiating. Burial to follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.

He is survived by his children, Ricky Benford (Diane) and Sharon Nolen (Danny); brother, Jerry Benford (Jerry); grandchildren, Tiffany Baker, Lauren Spradling (Kenny) and Kent Glass (Elizabeth Burns); great-grandchildren, Chloe Baker, Caleb Baker, Kinsleigh Hurley and Hudson Spradling and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Genier Ruth Benford; parents, Artentious and Annie Benford and 10 brothers and sisters.
