Penny Kay Meigs

Penny Kay Meigs, 64, of Addison, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

Penny was born in Haleyville October 17, 1960. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for over 30 years. She was a devoted Christian who spent time studying God's Word daily. Penny enjoyed spending time with her family (whom she spoiled), playing Candy Crush and shopping. Penny kept everyone on their toes with her witty personality and sense of humor.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 12-2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Addison. Brother Junior Garmon and Terry Graham will officiate.

Penny is survived by her daughter, Abbey Meigs; brothers, Brent (Jo) Dollar and Donald (Carolyn) Dollar; sisters, Cathie (Gary) Luker and Marsha (Craig) Pigg; nephews and nieces, Kim (Chuck) Kilpatrick, Candy (Mackey) Watts, Jeff (Cindy) Luker, Jeremy (Jamie) Luker, Greg (Bridgett) Dollar, Tim (Marta) Dollar and Lana (Vance) Hines; great-nephews and nieces, Dane (Jessica) Kilpatrick, Trent (Brittany) Kilpatrick, Brett (Catie) York, Rhett York, Case Watt, Brody (Grace'n) Dollar, Ryan (Lauren) Walker, Anna Grace, Lexie and Braden Luker, Brye and Brayson Dollar, Lily and Molly Dollar and Emmy and Elly Hines; great-great-nephews and nieces, Dawson and Jaxson Walker, Judd, Jayci and Rhen York, Brylee Watts, Sawyer Lamon and Emma and Eli Kilpatrick and special caregivers, Kayla and Graham Sherer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Virginia Dollar.
