Maxine Hamric Corkren

Maxine Hamric Corkren, 89, of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025. She was the owner of Mac's Fashions before her retirement.  She was a member of South Haleyville Church of Christ. She was a resident at Country Place Senior Living in Winfield.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville. Her funeral will begin at 1 p.m., with Noah Moody and Orry Moody speaking and Vance Hutton officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Brilliant.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula (Clayton) Benefield and Frankie (Jeff) Sutherland; sisters and brothers, Jean Norris, Jewel Holt, R.L. Hamric, Christine (Elvis) Townley and Luke (Ruby) Hamric, Jr.; grandchildren, David Benefield, Tiffany (Donald) Watts, Orry (Alyson) Moody, Andrew Joshua (Stephanie) Sutherland, Noah (Mattie) Moody and Ashley (Joseph) McBrayer; great-grandchildren, Keely Blain, Faith Sutherland, Declyn Moody, Brayden McBrayer, Jed Sutherland, Mickalyn Moody, Connor McBrayer and Blakley Moody due  in April and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Merney Hamric; husband, Horace F. Corkren; daughter, Kathy Corkren; brother, M.L. Hamric and great-grandchildren, Bryce and Ryker Moody.
