Velva Dykes, 90, of Haleyville, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 1-2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville. Her funeral will begin at 2 p.m., with Kyle Pruitt and Vance Hutton officiating. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
Ms. Dykes is survived by her son, Mike Pruitt; grandchildren, Mark Pruitt, Kim Hulsey, Kasey Pruitt and Kyle Pruitt; great-grandchildren, LaDecka Pruitt and Alex Hulsey and great-great-grandchildren, Gabe Pruitt, Adalee Pruitt, Sawyer Hulsey and Ellie Kate Hulsey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dalton and Anthia West; husband, Robert Dykes; son, Phillip Pruitt and grandson, Tim Pruitt.
