George Timothy "Tim" McCarley, 55, of Haleyville, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025, at his residence.
He was born October 8, 1969, in Russellville, Ala., to George Thomas McCarley and Annelle Anderson.
If you knew Tim, then you know what a good sense of humor he had. He was patriotic, "bull-headed" and a hard worker, but more than anything, he loved his children and grandchildren.
Tim was an avid outdoorsman, who liked spending time hunting, camping, riding four-wheelers, cooking out and grilling.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1988-1992.
Tim gave his heart to the Lord on July 11, 2024, which was one of the best decisions he ever made.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 12-2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where a funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Green Springs Cemetery in Guin. Brother Danny Page and Brother Tommy Setliff will officiate. Tim is survived by his mother, Annelle Anderson; daughters, Chelsea (Levi) Setliff, Ciana McCarley and Anna (Brayden) Wooten; brother, Jonathan (Sheena) Cochran; grandchildren, Hadlee Setliff, Hayes Setliff, Nella Beaty and Ellis McCarley; niece and nephew, Chloe Cochran and Gavin Cummings; special cousin, Brian Crowe; uncle, Harold (Jolene) Stults; and aunt, Carolyn (Truman) Daniel. He was preceded in death by his father, George Thomas McCarley; brother, Barry McCarley; grandmother, Nola Stults; grandfather, Howard Stults; and grandson, Hendon Setliff.
