James William Buckner, 80, of Haleyville, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025. He was a Baptist. He was a retired school teacher with Haleyville City Schools, having taught for 30 years.
His visitation will be Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. His funeral will be at 12 p.m. in the chapel, with Jimmy Wallace and Mickey Holdbrooks speaking. Burial to follow in Littleville Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn Dianne Buckner; children, Jeane Wilkerson and Jonna Greene; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death his parents, Mary Thompson and Chester Buckner and brother, Steve Buckner.
