Glenda Brannon

Glenda Ann Brannon, 82, of Addison, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 11, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Glenda was born August 22, 1943 in Moulton to Hurley and Dorothy Cross. She graduated from Lawrence County High School in 1961. Glenda was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, growing beautiful flowers around her home and singing in the choir at Addison First Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Glenda loved vacationing in the Smoky Mountains.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 12-2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Addison. Brother Tim Box and Brother Kenny Sudduth will officiate.

Glenda is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jerry Dee Brannon; their two children, John "Dee" (Paula) Brannon and Tammy (Alan) Mah; one child through marriage, Jerrie Ann Mayhall; four grandchildren, Zach Brannon (Hannah Elliott), Savannah Parrish (Tyson), Hannah M. Brannon and John Mark Mayhall; siblings, Linda Pearson (Leonard), John Cross (Sandra) and David Cross (Bernice); four great-grandchildren, Eli Burleson, Elliott Grace Brannon, Vivie Mae Brannon and Andee Kate Brannon and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family extends deep appreciation and gratitude toward her beloved caregiver, Angie Clark, and Aveanna Hospice, especially nurse Emily Lowry and aide Paige Pylant, for the compassionate care they provided.
