Jerry Edward Johnson, 83, of Nauvoo, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025. He was a retired equipment operator in the mining industry and a member of New Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. at New Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Nauvoo. His funeral will be Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 2 p.m. at the church, with Orbie Pierce and Donny Dodd officiating. Burial will follow in Ashbank Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his children, Karen (Byron) Pendley, David (Donna) Johnson, Jeremy (Sherry) Johnson and Alex (Whitney) Johnson; sister, Geneva Saulters; grandchildren, Kayla, Erik, Trey, Ty, Kyle, Tyler, Mahyden, Brylie, Kolt and Zoie; great-grandchildren, Dalton, Aubrey, Lylah, Kayleigh, Rori Beth, Payton, Kyle Russel, McKinley and Kannen and great-great-granddaughter, Lydia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Ezell and Ethel Arilla Johnson; wife, Patricia Gail Johnson and siblings, Eulene Wallace, Noel Lee Johnson, Olen "Deuce" Johnson, Odis Johnson, Peggy Dickinson, Eugene Johnson, Olivia Jordan and Oliver "Tut" Johnson, Jr.
