Clarence "Buddy" Brindley

Clarence Wilburn “Buddy” Brindley, 84, of Phil Campbell, passed away from this life on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at North Alabama Medical Center.

Buddy worked several years at Mobile Manufacturing Housing and in the warehouse of Wrangler Distribution Center. He was a hardworking man who always made sure his family was taken care of. He was a horse trader, loved riding wagons, and had a love for horses and mules. His hobby was simply working and he was always available to do anything he could for someone. He was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. He was a very good man, and we will cherish his memories.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Bessie (Aderholt) Brindley; sister, Jeanette Harrison and brother, George Brindley.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 59 years, Gwendolyn “Kay” Brindley; son, Clarence Stephen Brindley (Bretta); grandchildren, Stephen Cole Brindley (Alison) and Alexander Seth Brindley; great-grandchildren, Luke C. Brindley and John Howard Brindley; sister, Martha Rae Burleson; nieces and nephews, Jimmy Harrison, Tony Harrison, Shane Burleson, Jamie Brooks, Robert Brooks, Meagen Glasgow, Meredith Wiley, and Anita Harrison; a host of great-nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Visitation will be from 1– 2 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Spry Memorial Chapel. His funeral will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Scott Delashaw officiating the service. Burial will be at Phil Campbell City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Harrison, Tony Harrison, Mikey Moore, Andy Dolan, Seth Brown and Sawyer Lynch.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at Russellville Hospital and North Alabama Medical Center who cared for Buddy and our family.
