Annual Winston County tree giveaway March 10

DOUBLE SPRINGS - The Winston County Extension Office will hold its annual tree giveaway Tuesday, March 10, at 9 a.m. at B&B Motors, located at 15085 Highway 278 in Double Springs.  Free tree seedlings will be available while supplies last, and distribution will be on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

This year’s giveaway features a selection of native tree species provided by the Alabama Forestry Commission. Available seedlings include Dogwood, Crabapple, Sassafras, Persimmon, Black Tupelo, and White Oak - all well‑adapted to Alabama’s climate and beneficial for wildlife, landscaping and environmental conservation.

Community members are invited to stop by, pick up a few seedlings and take part in a longstanding local effort to keep Winston County green and growing.
