Terry Wayne Gravitt, 77, of Haleyville, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Haleyville, and was a graduate of Haleyville High School in 1966. He met Betty Vickery in 1964. They married in 1966 and were married for 57 years. He was a retired coal miner with Drummond Coal Co. and a member of Pathway Church of God and continued his dedication to the Lord after Betty's passing.
His visitation will be Friday, March 6, 2026 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. His funeral will be at 1 p.m. in the chapel, with Mark Fell officiating. Burial to follow in Botush Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brody Gravitt, Blade Brasher, Christian Edwards, Dawson Philips, Rusty Lacey and Bradley Ritch.
Terry is survived by his children, Bubba Wayne Gravitt, Mandy LaShae Phillips and Brandy LeAnn Rogers; grandchildren, Kaylin Marie Brasher, Courtney Leanne Edwards, Brody Lee Gravitt, Reagan LaShae Phillips, Jonathan Dawson Phillips and Anakate Marie Rogers; great-grandchildren, Remi Jo Brasher and Ridge Wayne Brasher; brother, Donnie Adair and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Ann Gravitt; wife, Betty Ann Gravitt; mother, Myrtis Kelley; dad, Marion Gravitt and brother, Roger Lee Adair.
Terry was a man who worked hard for his family, whom he loved dearly. After Terry retired, he made it his purpose for the rest of his days to spend as much time as he could with his family. He loved his kids, but cherished every moment with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
