Flora Mae Beste, 91, of Nauvoo, entered into rest Friday, August 23, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 17, 1928 to Albert and Eva Wilson. Flora was a caregiver at heart. She served her church and her community doing anything to help others. Flora loved gardening, sewing and enjoyed singing.
Visitation will be Monday, August 26, 2019 from 12– 2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. . Burial will be in Williams Cemetery, Black Pond Community. Brother Thomas Curtis and Pastor Christopher Godfrey will officiate.
Floria is survived by her sons, Carl Alexander, Larry (Karen) Alexander, Don (Carol) Beste and Richard (Shirley) Beste; daughters, Rose (Ronald) Curtis, Helen Rigsby, Carylon (Elmer) Kratz, DeAnna (Lonnie) Kennedy and Sharon Schwan Khaus and sister, Fayrene (Carl) Simmons. She was “Grandma” to 19 grandchildren, 33 great- grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Beste; sons, Seven Alexander and Charles Alexander; daughter, Imogene McCullar; sisters, Priscilla Meyers and Evlynn Shedd and brothers, Henery Wilson and Woodrow Wilson.
