Mr. Albert Jackson Kelley, 86, of Haleyville, Alabama, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at his residence. He was a Baptist and attended Cowboy Church-Colbert County and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church in Haleyville. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict.
Visitation is Saturday, August 24, 2019 from noon - 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Truman Sutton officiating. Burial will be in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his children, Darlene K. (Henry) Gautreaux, Cyndi (Richard) Hardy and Cyndi (Ricky) Layfield; special niece - more like a daughter, Charlotte (Kenneth) Kimbrough; sister-in-law, Delaney Mock; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Franklin Kelley Sr. and Beatrice Woodall Kelley; wife, Violet G. Kelley; daughter, Lisa Karen Kelley; four brothers, five sisters and one grandson Matthew Ryan Gautreaux.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to Charlotte & Kenneth Kimbrough and Delany Mock for all they did for Albert and Violet.
