Former mayor to fill vacant town council seat

Brian Heck is chosen to fill the vacant town council seat in a special called meeting Monday, Dec. 9.

LYNN - A former mayor will be on the town council seat vacated by Earl Gilbert when he left it to become the mayor after Jeff Stokes’ resignation Oct. 9. Brian Heck was chosen at a special called town meeting Monday, Dec. 9, with council member Bruce Odom nominating Heck. All voted in favor, and the motion passed. With no other business, the special called meeting was adjourned.

Heck was Lynn’s mayor from March 4, 2009, to Oct. 29, 2012.
