WINSTON COUNTY - Governor Kay Ivey has appointed Winston County Sheriff’s Office Public Relations and Reserve Sergeant Horace Moore as the new Sheriff of Winston County. Moore received the call from Ivey Friday afternoon, Dec. 13, informing him about the appointment. Moore will replace Sheriff Tommy Moore, who is resigning due to health issues.
“I would like to thank Governor Kay Ivey, Sheriff Tommy Moore, the Winston County Republican Party and all of the people across Winston County who have supported me and put their trust and faith in me to serve as the Sheriff of Winston County. I will work hard every single day to perform the duties of sheriff to the best of my ability,” Horace said.
