Tidwell crowned 2020 Queen of Hearts

DOUBLE SPRINGS - Winston County High School eleventh grader Tamra Tidwell was crowned the 2020 Queen of Hearts during the annual pageant held Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Winston County High School gymnasium.  She was also named Miss Photogenic.  She was crowned by Kristi Bonds, the mother of the 2019 Queen of Hearts Kady Bonds.  Kady is serving her country in the military and could not attend, but sent an audio message that was played just before the crowning of the queen.

Ninth grader Bailey Kelly was named first alternate.  Second alternate was ninth grader Ella Mann.  Third alternate was eleventh grader Ella Moore and fourth alternate was tenth grader Jaelyn Dotson.  Mann also won the Miss Congeniality award, which is voted upon by the Queen of Hearts contestants.  Kelly was also named Miss Citizenship, an award voted upon by the faculty of Winston County High School.
