Mary Lou Southern, 84, of Haleyville, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2021 at her home. She was retired from the Haleyville Textile and attended Cherry Hill Church of God.
Her visitation will be Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 1 - 3 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, with her funeral at 3 p.m. in the chapel, with Bro. Paul McMicken officiating. Burial to follow in Ireland Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, David Southern his wife Sue, Doris Newell and Debra Juarez, her husband Roberto; sisters and brothers, OraVee James, Eloise Bailey, Edna McMicken, Ruby Fell, Clayton Carpenter and Charles Carpenter; grandchildren, Brian Berry, Eric Southern and Jason Berry; great-grandchildren, Blake Berry, Madison Berry, David Berry and Katie Berry and a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arce and Flora Keller Carpenter; husband, James Lewis "Bug" Southern and brothers, Gene and Clyde Carpenter.
