ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
LYNN 53-3 HVAC REPLACEMENT
FOR THE
HAMILTON
HOUSING
AUTHORITY
Sealed bid proposals will be received for the above-referenced project by Ms. April Franks, Executive Director, at the office of the Hamilton Housing Authority, hereinafter called “Authority,” at 690 Bexar Avenue East, Hamilton, Alabama, until 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 5, 2024, then opened and read aloud. The project shall consist of the replacement of HVAC systems in Lynn, Alabama—in a total of 16 apartments.
A Pre-Bid Meeting and on-site review will be at the Authority office at 335 3rd Street in Lynn, Alabama, on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. All General Contractors interested in bidding are strongly urged to attend the meeting. This opportunity will be provided on this day or will otherwise have to be scheduled with the Authority.
The contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder in accordance with the rules, regulations, and policies of the Authority, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the State of Alabama Bid Laws.
Only Contractors who are properly licensed in accordance with criteria established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors or the Alabama Board of Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Contractors will be considered for bidding the work. All bidders shall show such evidence by clearly displaying their current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. A copy of the Bidder License must be included with the bid. Licensing required by local municipalities shall be obtained prior to the execution of the construction contract.
Bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the Authority. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
Bidders shall include with their proposal a certified check or Bid Bond payable to the Authority in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount.
Contractors are required to comply with the requirements of Section 3 for new employment, training, and contracting opportunities found in Title 24, CFR 135.
Bid Documents and Specifications can be obtained at the Authority office in Hamilton, Alabama.
