ADDISON - Friendship Baptist Church, located on County Road 41 North in the Upshaw community near Addison, will be holding a Community Day Saturday, Aug. 1, beginning at 4 p.m. There will be all types of fun family-friendly activities, including pony rides, inflatables, a homemade ice cream contest, outside games, bingo, cupcake decorating, music and food. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.
DOUBLE SPRINGS - There will be a benefit Swamp John’s supper Monday, Aug. 3, from 4-6 p.m. at the Double Springs Municipal Building, located on Highway 195 South.
Plates will be $15, and will include a choice of catfish, shrimp or chicken fingers, fries, slaw, hushpuppies and tea.
Proceeds will go toward the Winston County Department of Human Resources’ Kids Christmas fundraiser.
HALEYVILLE - Cherry Hill Church of God, located on Cherry Hill Road in Haleyville, will hold its annual singing Sunday, Sept. 13, beginning at 10 a.m. The guest singers will be Purpose. Everyone is welcome to attend.
