BANKHEAD NATIONAL FOREST - Wild Alabama invites volunteers to work on the repair and restoration of Sipsey Wilderness trails two Wednesdays, Jan. 15 and 29, and two Fridays, Jan. 17 and Jan. 24, this month.
You will get credit for volunteer service hours while doing something in nature with others participating for similar reasons.
BANKHEAD NATIONAL FOREST - Wild Alabama will lead two nature hikes into the Sipsey Wilderness this month to view rock formations that are revealed when the leaves are off the trees The hikes will be Thursday, Jan. 16, and Thursday, Jan. 30.

BANKHEAD NATIONAL FOREST - Wild Alabama has planned a meaningful day of service for Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, Monday, Jan. 20, in the Bankhead National Forest.
As part of the Partners Against a Littered State (PALS) Adopt-a-Mile program, Wild Alabama adopted a five-mile stretch of Highway 33.
DOUBLE SPRINGS - Rock Creek Baptist Church, located off of Highway 33 north of Double Springs, will be holding a gospel singing Sunday, Jan. 26, at 5 p.m. The guest singers will be The Ricketts Family. A fellowship meal will follow the singing. Pastor Kirk Cagle and the congregation cordially invite everyone to attend.
