WINSTON COUNTY - Qualifying for the August 26 municipal elections, when residents living in municipalities across Winston and Marion counties will head to the polls to vote for their choice of mayor and council members, has already begun.
The qualifying period runs from 8 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, and will continue until 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 24. Different municipalities have different guidelines on the amount of qualifying fees that candidates must pay, but other guidelines apply for all municipalities.
