LYNN – A one-vehicle crash claimed the life of an 81-year-old Lynn man Sunday night, Aug. 24, when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree head-on, according to first responders.
Killed in the crash was Jim Dodd, Winston County Coroner Tracey Holley confirmed. The Chevrolet Impala driven by Dodd left County Road 3603 and struck a tree head-on, according to first responders on the scene.
Dodd was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred just off County Road 3603, located just off County Road 17, according to authorities on the scene.
