Joseph Leon Scrivner, 90, of Double Springs, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Hendrix Healthcare in Double Springs. He was a member of Kelly Mill Baptist Church.
Visitation is Friday, February 21, 2020 from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Kelly Mill Baptist Church, Double Springs. Funeral service is Saturday, February 22, 2020 at noon at Kelly Mill Baptist Church with Bro. Donnie Dodd officiating. He will lie in state at the church before the service from 11 a.m. - noon with burial to follow in New Hope Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Zac, Sam, Luke, Levi, Alec, Jason and JoJo.
He is survived by his wife, Lois L. Scrivner; children, Patricia Ann (Mitchell) Turner,
Terry Leon Scrivner, Billy Joseph (Tammy) Scrivner and Ruby Lynne (Gene) Fox; brother, Jerry Allen Scrivner and sister, Jean Oswalt; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Joseph was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Nell Scrivner; mother, Ila Nichols Scrivner; father, Lee Scrivner; sisters, Louise Hocutt, Faye Holcomb, Jane Belcourt and Betty Simmons; great-great-granddaughter, Emmalee Alexander.
