LEGAL NOTICE OF PROPOSED
ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT ACTION
AND RELATED PUBLIC
EXPENDITURES BY
LYNN, ALABAMA
The Town of Lynn, Alabama (the “Town”) gives notice that the governing body of the Town will meet in public session at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2020 at the offices thereof at Town Hall in Lynn, Alabama, for the purpose of considering such matters as may properly come before the governing body, to include (without limitation) the authorization by the Town pursuant to Amendment No. 772 of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, as amended (“Amendment No. 772”) of the terms, validation, delivery and performance of that certain Economic Development Agreement among The Industrial Development Authority of Winston County, Alabama (the “Authority”), Winston County, and the Town, with respect to the economic development project referenced therein (“Project”).
The Project will be located within the corporate limits of the Town of Lynn, Alabama, and will be operated by Hamilton Property Group, LLC, Hamilton Home Builders, LLC, and Winston Housing Group, LLC, affiliate enterprises (collectively referred to as the “Company”) for the manufacture, assembly, and storing of manufactured housing and related products.
Pursuant to Amendment No. 772 and the Agreement, the Town will make available to the Authority, when and as directed by the Authority, public funds of the Town in an aggregate amount not exceeding $50,000 (Fifty Thousand Dollars) for the acquisition and construction of infrastructure for the Project consisting of the clearing, grading, resurfacing, drainage, fencing, and expansion including road and pedestrian access of employee parking facilities and the storage of manufactured housing and related products (the “Infrastructure Improvements”). The Town expects the Infrastructure Improvements will be completed and placed in service by January 31, 2021.
The Town has determined that the contributions of the Town for the Infrastructure Improvements will promote the economic development of the Town, increase employment in the Town, further utilize the skills of the labor force of the Town, provide stabilization of wages in the Town, and increase the revenue base of the Town.
The persons for whose benefit the Town proposes to grant public funds and things of value are the Company and the Authority.
All interested persons may examine and review the Agreement and all relevant proceedings pertaining thereto, and make copies thereof at personal expense, and obtain further information about the matters addressed in this notice, at the offices of the governing body of the Town during normal business hours, before and after the meeting referenced herein.
