Sheriff encourages “yes” vote on local amendment

WINSTON COUNTY - On March 5, voters will have the choice to approve a local amendment allowing the Winston County Sheriff’s Office to conduct fundraisers, with proceeds benefiting the office, as well as charitable organizations and volunteer fire departments.

Deaths of Cullman County men found near Haleyville under investigation

HALEYVILLE - Investigation is underway to determine the cause of death of two Cullman County men whose bodies were discovered Wednesday, Nov. 8, in a vehicle parked off County Road 17 on an old logging road near Haleyville, law enforcement said.

DUNCAN BRIDGE - A Jasper man who allegedly stole over $1,000 at Duncan Bridge Marina, as well as items from other marinas, is now facing numerous burglary and theft related charges.

WINSTON COUNTY - All three homes raided in a major drug sweep across the county last week were within close distance of a school campus.

New number to call for those needing Winston County Sheriff's Office's Dispatch

DOUBLE SPRINGS -  Due to ongoing issues with the landlines at the Winston County Courthouse in Double Springs, a new number has been put in place for those needing to call dispatch at the Winston County Sheriff's Office.  To reach dispatch, please call (205) 272-1080.
