Soccer banquet honors athletes


A banquet was recently held to honor the Haleyville High School soccer teams. Shipman member of state championship soccer team


On Nov. 3-4, 2018, the Alabama Soccer Association Division 2 State Championship was played in Foley. Zeke Shipman, a freshman at Haleyville High School, played for the victorious Shoals Soccer Club’s Under 16 team. Having won the Alabama State Cup, the team will play in regional competition in the US youth Soccer Association’s Southern President’s Cup in Round Rock, Texas, in June, 2019. In the photo, Zeke is in the back row, sixth person from the left. Zeke’s parents are Scott and Lisa Shipman.
