ARLEY - Matthew Jones from Arley was one of nearly 700 New York Institute of Technology students who received degrees as fall graduates of the Class of 2024.

HALEYVILLE - Drake Robertson, of Haleyville, is among approximately 1,500 students graduating from Mississippi State University in fall 2024, with commencement in December.

Robertson received the bachelor of science summa cum laude from MSU's Bagley College of Engineering.

HOUSTON - Kathryn Brumit, of Houston, is among the more than 3,100 students who earned their degrees from the University of Mississippi in May.

JACKSONVILLE - Jacksonville State University held its summer commencement ceremony August 4, with two local students graduating.

HALEYVILLE - Millicent Sadi of Haleyville, has earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from The Citadel.

HALEYVILLE - Margaret White and Katelyn Blaylock, both of Haleyville, recently graduated from Mississippi State University as part of the fall 2022 class.

TUSCALOOSA - The University of Alabama awarded over 1,650 degrees during its fall commencement ceremonies on Dec. 10.

TUSCALOOSA - The following local residents graduated from the University of Alabama during commencement ceremonies Dec. 10-11:

Joseph Daniel, of Nauvoo, Master of Arts;
Katie Holcomb, of Double Springs, Bachelor of Science in education;
Samantha Legg, of Nauvoo, Bachelor of Science in nursing;
Kylie Lovett, of Haleyville, Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering;
Isaac Posey, of Haleyville, Bachelor of Arts.

TUSCALOOSA - The University of Alabama awarded some 5,860 degrees during its spring commencement ceremonies April 30-May 2.
