Grady Lucian Welborn, 86, was called to his Heavenly home on Sunday, August 10, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Visitation will be on Tuesday August 12, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. at Mt. View Baptist Church in Phil Campbell. His funeral will be Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 11 a.m., and will also be at Mt. View Baptist Church. Bro. Sammy Taylor and Bro. Daniel Welborn will be officiating. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
Grady was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Caldonia Hill Welborn; wife, Frances Welborn; brother, Melvin Welborn and sister, Bernice Mason.
He is survived by his sons, David Welborn (Melanie), Terry Welborn (Martha), and Jerry Welborn; grandchildren, April Simpson (Jamie), Andrew Welborn (Megan), Daniel Welborn (Carrie), Riley Welborn (Alis) and Hannah Welborn; great-grandchildren, Khloie Marshall (Aaron), Kylee Welborn, Paige Simpson (Edge Weeks), Cohl Welborn, Maddie Welborn, Harper Welborn, Teegan Welborn and Ryann Welborn, as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Grady worked for over 30 years at Bellbro Auto as a machinist. He loved his Lord and his family. One of his favorite hobbies was drag racing. Any given Friday or Saturday night, he would be on the track ready to race. After racing all night in his Chevy Nova, Mrs. Frances would let him rest and drive him home.
