President’s Day closings

Monday, February 16, is President’s Day, which means some government offices will be closed.
All federal, state and county government offices will be closed Monday for the holiday.  Addison, Arley, Double Springs, Haleyville and Lynn city/town halls will also be closed.  Bear Creek Town Hall will be open Monday, however.
With Haleyville City Hall being closed Monday, that means no garbage collection will take place on that date.  Monday’s route will be collected on Tuesday, Feb. 17, along with the regular Tuesday route.
The U.S. Post Office will be closed Monday, so there will be no mail delivery.  Also, all banks and credit unions will be closed.
Marion County Schools will be closed Monday for President’s Day.  Winston County Schools students will also have the day off.  However, teachers will work on Monday.  Haleyville City Schools will be open on Monday.
