Early lead for Wilson seals fate for Lady Lions

The Haleyville Lady Lions softball team fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 14-2 loss to Wilson on Monday, April 1.

The Lady Lions struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Wilson, giving up 14 runs.

Ana Aaron was in the pitcher's circle for the Lady Lions. She surrendered 13 runs on nine hits over four innings, striking out three. Molly Gilbert threw one inning in relief.

Wilson hit two home runs on the day.

Aaron, Gracie Long, Hailie Moody, and Lauran Wilcoxson each collected one hit to lead Lady Lions.

Wilson tallied 10 hits on the day.
