WINSTON COUNTY - Greg Pendley, superintendent of Winston County Schools, announced that Winston County Schools will hold kindergarten registration for the 2020-2021 school year Monday, March 16, through Friday, March 20.
The dates for registration for individual schools within the system are as follows:
Lynn Elementary School:
Monday, March 16. If last name begins with A-J, please come between 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. If last name begins with K-Z, please come between 12:30-2:30 p.m.
Addison Elementary School:
Tuesday, March 17. If last name begins with A-J, please come between 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. If last name begins with K-Z, please come between 12:30-2:30 p.m.
Meek Elementary School:
Wednesday, March 18. If last name begins with A-J, please come between 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. If last name begins with K-Z, please come between 12:30-2:30 p.m.
Double Springs Elementary School:
Thursday, March 19. If last name begins with A-F, please come between 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. If last name begins with G-N, please come between 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Friday, March 20. If last name begins with O-Z, please come between 8:30-11:30 a.m.
Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2020, in order to register for kindergarten. The following items should be brought to registration:
- child's birth certificate
- child's immunization certificate
- proof of residency
- social security card
If you do not have all the documents, please register and bring remaining documents. Kindergarten services are available to disabled children, regardless of the severity of the disabling condition.
Parents need to bring their children with them when they register and be prepared to stay, as children will receive hearing, speech and vision screenings during the registration process.
