ARLEY - The Town of Arley is once again accepting applications for the military banners that hang up in town in the weeks leading up to Memorial Day and Veteran's Day.
Scanning day for the banners will be Wednesday, March 11, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Arley Public Library. The one-time cost is $140, which will include restoration of the photo submitted, if needed, the 24x48 doublesided military banner, along with the bracket and mounting hardware. The banner and information will be included online at www.troopbanners.com/Arley.
To have your loved one represented, please provide the person's name, rank, branch of service, division/squad, war in which the person served (if applicable), if the person was killed in action, missing in action or a prisoner of war and any medals of valor the person might have won, such as the Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Medal, Service Cross, Silver Star or Bronze Star.
Checks should be made payable to the Town of Arley, with military banner program written in the memo area of the check.
