DOUBLE SPRINGS A project that has been dormant for years has been brought back to life with a breath of fresh air, as the Double Springs Town Council voted Monday, Jan. 12, to officially begin constructing a community park dedicated to the town’s heritage and history.

HALEYVILLE - As the City of Haleyville’s 9-1-1 Festival draws closer, the public is taking notice of development at the downtown pocket park located on Main Street, that will have limited usage but will be open for the public during the festival scheduled for June 4-5.

HALEYVILLE - What began as an idea to further revitalize Haleyville’s downtown district has blossomed into action, with plans to turn a vacant lot along Main Street into a thriving community park, complete with an amphitheater, landscaping and decorative drawings along the walls of the adjoining building.
