HALEYVILLE - At the Monday, April 21, Haleyville City Council meeting, Council Member Ray Boshell and Mayor Ken Sunseri discussed the city's intentions to train some police officers in animal control and enact tougher animal control ordinances with stiffer penalties.

LYNN - The Lynn Town Council passed a new animal control ordinance at its July 17 meeting after residents and a business owner complained to the council at its work session July 10, about stray dogs damaging property and bothering customers.

DOUBLE SPRINGS - The town of Double Springs is reminding dog owners, who let their dogs roam freely, that the issue is becoming a major problem, they are violating terms of the town’s ordinance and are subject to consequences.
