BEAR CREEK - A water project in the works at least the past five years has finally become a reality with a $1 million grant to revamp the remainder of Bear Creek’s outdated water system.
A main transmission line outage at the Upper Creek Water Filtration Plant during the recent winter weather resulted in a scare of a water shortage for some customers.

HALEYVILLE - When the Haleyville Water Works and Sewer Board did not receive the principal forgiveness of $500,000 on a $1.5 million loan, not all of the items could be completed at this time. The HWWSB approved a resolution for one of the scenarios given by Engineer Calvin Cassady in the amount of $1,182,100, at their meeting, Tuesday, May 28, for the 2019 “Clean Water State Revolving Fund” loan.

HALEYVILLE - The time has come to update water and sewer lines and freshly pavie areas of 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th avenues, thanks to a $450,000 Community Development Block Grant, which would be funded as a partnership between the City of Haleyville and the water department.
