Benefit turkey shoot in Moreland

MORELAND - There will be a benefit turkey shoot Saturday, Nov. 19, beginning at 8 a.m. at 30 County Road 3162 in the Moreland community, off of County Road 63 north.  The cost to participate will be $4 per shot, and all proceeds will go to benefit the Moreland Community Center.

December NATR Lunch and Learns

North Alabama Trails & Recreation will hold two lunch-and-learn events in December. The first, on Tuesday, Dec. 6, in Cullman at 1714 Tally Ho Street, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., will see guest speakers Mayor Linda Peebles of Courtland and Mayor Derick Silcox of Leighton discuss the topic, "Rural Town Collaboration for Outdoor Recreation." Lunch will be provided.
