Several families displaced in apartment building fire in Haleyville

HALEYVILLE - A fire Monday afternoon, Sept. 25, at one of the buildings comprising Beech Grove Apartments on Beech Grove Road in Haleyville has left at least 4 families displaced, with the fire damaging several units.

At least one resident had to be treated on scene by medics with Regional Paramedical Ambulance.  Haleyville Fire Department responded to the scene, receiving assistance from Delmar Fire Department and the Haleyville Rescue Squad.  Haleyville Police also responded to the scene.

Several of the displaced families are in need of help.  One of the displaced persons, Wanda Sims, gave her phone number to the Alabamian, requesting help.  She can be reached at (205) 269-5482.
