Doug Counts, 66, of Haleyville, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2026 at Lakeland Community Hospital.
Doug was born August 13, 1960 to Reginald and Emily Counts.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 30, 2026 from 12-1 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where his funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Brother Gary Wakefield will officiate.
Doug is survived by his wife, Lisa Counts; son, James "Jason" Counts (Amber); brother, Kenneth Counts; sister, Karen Copeland (Martin); grandchildren, James "Kason" Counts, Kirsten Marie Counts, Ian Earlee Counts and Rylan Buckner; sister-in-law, Angela Amerson (Tommy); nieces and nephews, Emily, Anna, Andrew, Joshua, Wesley, Kolby and Jimmy and beloved fur babies, Sadie and Bandit.
He was preceded in death by his father, Reginal Counts, mother, Emily Frances Counts; sister, Patricia Gray and brother-in-law, John Gray.
