Roy Alter Hood, formerly of Bear Creek, got his heavenly wings on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020. A private burial took place at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Haleyville Friday, Dec. 11, 2020. Hamilton Funeral Home directed.
Roy was born on April 27, 1939.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Hood, in 2008 and his son, Dennis James Hood, in 1979.
Surviving children include Terrell (Kim) Hood, of Ocala, FL., Dita Hood (Rick) Brinks, of New Boston, Texas and Chris (Sharon Crownover) Hood, of Mt. Juliet, TN.
